Heathcoate reassigned by Tigers to Nanaimo

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers have announced they have reassigned one of their forwards to a junior “B” team in British Columbia.

In a news release sent out before 5 p.m. on Thursday, the team announced Dawson Heathcoate has been moved to the Nanaimo Buccaneers, who play in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League.

Heathcoate, according to Elite Prospects, played with the Buccaneers from 2015-2017. During the 2016-17 season, he scored 21 goals and 33 assists in 47 games played.

Heathcoate joined the Tigers in the 2017 season, and has played a total of 74 regular season games with the team. He has recorded 11 points (six goals, five assists) in his two seasons.
