Mohawks win season opener

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat High School Mohawks dominated their first basketball game of the season Tuesday evening.

Hosting the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Rams at Hat High, the Mohawks came away with a 104-89 victory.

Five members of the Mohawks had double digit games. Ethan Egert led the way with 25 points, with Eidan Jonker scoring 24 points, Fred Kabore scoring 16 points, Austin Walton scoring 12 points and Bailey Gosse scoring 10 points.

Isaiah Bagnah scored 33 points for the Rams.

The Mohawks return to action on December 11, hosting the Raymond Comets at Hat High. The game begins at 8 p.m.
