Hounds win twice on the road

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Midget AA Hounds won back to back games on the road over the weekend.

The Hounds topped the Calgary Wheatland Chiefs 5-3 on Saturday, and topped the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-3 on Sunday.

Saturday’s game saw Levi Schlosser score a goal and assist, with Zachary Dovichak, Ryley Manz, Brandon Kasdorf and Brayden Anderson. Kyden Moore had two assists.

Nate Hoffman made 19 saves for the Hounds in net.

On Sunday, Austin Klimasko scored two goals and recorded one assist to help his team win. Jacob Milne scored twice, while Schlosser and Matthew Lafferty each had singles.

Teron Funk made 33 saves for the Hounds. The Hurricanes outshot the Hounds 36-35 during the game.

The Hounds, who have a 9-4-2 record, return to action at home this weekend for their final games before the holiday break. On Friday, they host the Taber Golden Suns at 7:15 p.m., while on Saturday, the Hounds host the CNHA Canucks at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Both games are at the Kinplex.
