MEDICINE HAT, AB – Medicine Hat police are seeking the public’s help after a 12-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon.

According to a news release Wednesday night, the boy was hit by a dark coloured 4-door pickup truck while crossing the street in a marked crosswalk at Carry Drive Southeast and Southview Drive Southeast.

Police say the driver of the truck, a woman, drove the boy to his residence, and left without providing her contact information. Police say an older man with grey hair, who was driving a blue car that had stopped at the crosswalk, potentially witnessed the collision.

The boy suffered minor injuries from the collision.

Police are asking the driver of the pickup, the witness to the collision, or any member of the public who may have information about the collision to contact the MHPS Traffic Unit at 403-529-8481.
