Swift Current man facing child pornography charges

SWIFT CURRENT, SK — A 53-year-old Swift Current man is facing three child pornography related charges following a brief investigation earlier this year-old.
Tony Resendes has been charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography available and accessing child pornography. He appeared in provincial court in Swift Current on Wednesday.
According to a release from the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation unit, the investigation began in August, after discovering a person allegedly downloading a sharing child pornography files through a peer-to-peer network. The investigation identified a location in Swift Current, and executed a search warrant, where several computers, electronic storage devices and a cell phone were seized and sent for analysis.
Resendes is next scheduled to appear in Swift Current provincial court on December 12th.
