MEDICINE HAT, AB — One of the kittens found in a dumpster last week is going into surgery today.

Five month old Bumble was found near 15 street southwest on Friday.

Rescuers were surprised to find a long piece of plastic tubing lodged down his throat when they found him, It’s unknown if bumble ate it himself, or someone was involved.

The Alberta Pound and Rescue Centre (APARC) had some difficulties feeding bumble when he first came in, but expected him to recover,

APARC has since issued an update on Facebook, saying he’ll be undergoing exploratory surgery today with hopes of finding out what exactly is wrong with him.

They also say they’re accepting donations.

“We have had a lot of requests to donate to his care,” reads the Facebook post. “We can accept donations right at the APARC facility (1002 South Railway Street) or at Animal Medical Centre South which is where he is currently being treated.”
