Flu season well underway in southern Alberta
Medicine Hat AB. – The 2018-19 Influenza Program began a little over a month ago on October 15 and it has certainly had its effect on southern Alberta.
Alberta Health Services recently released their second flu-report for the season and the numbers are relatively mild within the region.
To date, there has been a total of 830,376 doses of influenza vaccine administered throughout Alberta. For the south zone, 67,872 people have be vaccinated to this point.
Within our region, there has been a total of 33 confirmed cases of Influenza A, 1 case of Influenza B and only 2 people have been admitted to hospital.
