HALO airlifts Brooks patient to hospital in Calgary
BROOKS, AB – One woman has been airlifted to hospital in Calgary after a collision in the Brooks area on Monday morning.
HALO Air Rescue confirmed they were called out to the Brooks area after a t-bone crash at the intersection of Highway 36 and Highway 544 on Monday just before 6:45 am, but were told to stand down as STARS Air Ambulance would respond.
Following a separate incident in Lethbridge that required STARS, HALO was called back to airlift a woman to hospital in Calgary after she had been taken to hospital in Brooks by ambulance.
The 55-year-old Brooks woman had to be extricated from her vehicle by first responders after her wesbound Jeep collided with a northbound semi-truck, the 38-year-old man from Scandia driving the semi suffered minor injuries.
