MEDICINE HAT, AB — The City of Medicine Hat says it is aware of reports of moose roaming in the city.

CHAT News Today has received several submissions of photos and videos through the week, showing a pair of moose in the city. One of the posts shows the moose near Seven Persons Drive.

Scott Richter with the city’s Parks and Recreation Department says they have had more reports of sightings of moose in the city this past year.

He is reminding people to take precautions if they come across the animal.

“Like any wild animal, keep your distance, be respectful of their space and don’t approach them,” he said.

People having issues with wildlife are asked to call Alberta Fish and Wildlife at 403.529.3680.
