Gators win volleyball city championship

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Senator Gershaw School Gators are league champions.

During the final tournament on Wednesday evening, the Gators continued their undefeated run, topping the Hat High Mohawks in straight sets (25-16, 25-19).

The Gators advanced to the final by defeating Crescent Heights High School, with Hat High topping Monsignor McCoy to earn their ticket to the finals.

Chris Byam of the Gators was named League MVP for the second year in a row.

The Volleyball Zone Championship runs from November 15-17.
