Natural gas rate rises for November

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat residents will be paying more in natural gas prices for the month of November.

The city released its utility rates for the month on Thursday. The natural gas rate for all customers has jumped to $2.285 per gigajoule, up from $1.1288 per gigajoule in October.

However, homeowners will be seeing a slight saving in electricity rates.

Residential, farm and small and medium commercial customers will be paying 6.385 cents per kilowatt hour, down from 6.6 cents per kilowatt hour in October.
