Rattlers women’s basketball team ranked 4th in country

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat College Rattlers women’s basketball team has a lot to celebrate early in the season.

The team, who have started the season with a perfect 4-0 record, have received national attention from the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Championship.

In the most recent series of national rankings, the Rattlers sit in fourth place among women’s basketball teams in the country, the highest ranking among ACAC teams.

The Dawson Blues are currently ranked in first place, followed by the Fanshaw Falcons and the Mount St. Vincent Mystics.

Other ACAC teams in the Top 10 include the Olds College Broncos (7th) and the Augustana Vikings (10th).

The men’s basketball team, who currently hold a 3-1 record this season, were not listed on the men’s CCAA rankings.

The Rattlers basketball teams return to action on November 9th, battling the Broncos in Olds. The women play at 6 p.m., while the men are scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
