Random attack on Lethbridge senior might be drug related

LETHBRIDGE – Police believe a woman was high on methamphetamine when she allegedly attacked a senior citizen at random in downtown Lethbridge.
The incident happened during the noon hour Wednesday, Oct. 24. According to Lethbridge police, the woman ran up to a 70-year-old man as he walked along the 300 block of 7 Street S., accused him of having her money, and hit him in the face with her purse. The man needed multiple stitches.
The woman then allegedly ran into a nearby bank and threatened staff before members of the Downtown Policing Unit arrested her.
38-year-old Stacy Leah Dawn White Man of Lethbridge is in custody charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and two counts of breach of recognizance.
