MEDICINE HAT, AB — A Dunmore woman arrested and charged with impaired driving earlier this summer has pleaded guilty.

Victoria Kirchner, 28, appeared in Medicine Hat provincial court on Thursday, where she entered a guilty plea to one charge of impaired driving.

Kirchner was arrested on July 9 after police were called to a hit and run in Crescent Heights.

According to a news release at the time of the collision, a Hyundai Tuscon drove into a fence at the Northgate Trailer Park in Crescent Heights. The driver tried to leave and hit a parked car, which was pushed into a second vehicle and a front porch.

The car eventually drove through a barbed wire fence at 12th Street Northwest and Brier Park Road, where it came to a stop. Police estimated the damage at approximately $17,000.

Kirchner was fined $2,000 and also received a one-year driving prohibition.
