Mohawks finish in second place at B.C tournament

KELOWNA, B.C. — The Medicine Hat High School Mohawks finished in second place during a fall baseball tournament in British Columbia over the weekend.

After starting the tournament with a victory over Central Okanagan, the team lost a close 3-2 game against the Penticton Tigers following a walk-off run.

The team rebounded later on Saturday, topping the Central Okanagan Red 7-4, but in the tournament final, dropped a 6-2 decision to NEZ Baseball.

The Mohawks were leading 2-0 through the game, until NEZ took the lead in the sixth inning.

Aidan Rissling pitched for six innings, allowing only three runs on eight hits, and striking out eight batters.

Ethan Wagner had three hits during the game, while Tori Nelson and Kobe Coderre each had two hits. Nelson and Wagner each had one RBI during the final game.
