MEDICINE HAT, AB. — The arrival of a cold front from the north will be marked by a big increase in the wind later this morning.

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning, saying gusts over 90 kilometers an hour can be expected late this morning.

The wind should only last until the early evening, but periods of rain will change to a brief period of snow behind the cold front.

Environment Canada says the weather will improve with above normal conditions early next week.

It’s predicting a high of 22 degrees for Medicine Hat for next Wednesday.
