Hitchin’ Post comes down

MEDICINE HAT, AB. — There’s a gap in the row of buildings in the 200 block of South Railway street downtown.
 
There’s nothing but a pile of rubble where the Hitchin’ Post saloon once stood, after the building was demolished yesterday.
 
It came down as part of remediation being done on a historical natural gas well on the property that was drilled in the last decade of the 19th century.
