Medicine Hat Cares Centre moving to new location on Monday

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Cares Centre will be operating in a new location next month.
The organization, part of HIV Community Link, will be moving to a new office on 641 Fourth Street Southeast in time for October 1st. A news release from the organization says their landlord has sold their current space on Second Street, prompting the move.
The location will not be used as the site for a supervised consumption site in the city, the news release states. The new building will be used to provide outreach services and support programs for people who use drugs and are at a high risk of HIV and Hepatitis C.
A location for the supervised consumption site has not yet been announced, though the organization says in the news release it continues to look for a space.
