Box Springs Road construction begins Tuesday; several road closures will occur

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The city is advising drivers about several road closures on Box Springs Road Northwest starting this week.

Construction on the road will begin on Tuesday, with workers completing asphalt milling and resurfacing of the roadway. The plan is to have the work completed by September 19, though the schedule is weather-dependent.

During the work, two-way through traffic will be maintained on Box Springs Road Northwest, however some road closures will be required. On Wednesday, Brier Park Road Northwest at the intersection of Box Springs Road Northwest will be closed.

On Thursday, Saamis Drive at the Box Springs Road intersection will also be closed.

Finally, Box Springs Boulevard at the intersection of Box Springs Road will be closed on Monday.
