MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers have signed one of their draft picks to a WHL Player Agreement.

The team announced Brayden Kapty, picked by the Tigers in the 2017 Bantam draft, signed the standard agreement on Thursday.

“Brayden is a smooth skating puck moving defenceman,” said Bobby Fox, Director of Player Personnel in a news release. “He anticipates the play well and has a good stick defensively. He came into camp and made an impression and is trending upward in his development.”

Kapty, who calls Coalhurst home, spent the last season with the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League. In 35 games, he has 41 points (6 goals, 35 assists).
