UPDATE: Missing horse located deceased

UPDATE: Redcliff RCMP notified CHAT News at 4:15 p.m. that the missing horse was located deceased on Thursday. Officers say they have not detected any evidence of foul play.

CYPRESS COUNTY, AB — Redcliff RCMP are investigating reports of a missing horse that could potentially have been stolen.

According to a news release on Thursday, the horse was last seen in an area south of Irvine on August 26.

The horse is a 23-year-old black Percheron gelding, which stands 19 hands high (76 inches). The horse has a two inch circle/star on its forehead.

The horse is also branded on its rear left thigh. The brand is an anchor over the letter R.
