NOBLEFORD, AB. — RCMP were dispatched early Sunday morning (Aug. 26) after a semi-truck hauling a trailer load of lettuce heading northbound on Highway 23 drove off the highway and ended up rolling over with the trailer blocking both lanes of the highway.

The crash was north east of Monarch.

A release states the driver, and lone occupant of the semi truck, wasn’t injured and the trailer load of lettuce remained intact.

According to police, it has been determined the driver of the semi fell asleep while heading northbound losing control of the semi.
