MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Police Service has released new information regarding the disappearance of Tammy Parnell.

Officers believe Parnell, who was last seen on August 17th, is in the Medicine Hat area, according to tips they have received during the week.

“Right now, we believe that Tammy is likely in the Medicine Hat area, just based on those tips” said Staff Sgt. Brent Bohrn with the Medicine Hat Police Service. “We haven’t had any confirmed sightings of her.

“We do believe that she has her two dogs with her, which are two larger husky-type dogs, so if anyone has seen something like that that matches that description, we’d sure like to know about that.”

Parnell was last seen on 16th Street SW in a black 2005 GMC Yukon. The vehicle has damage to the driver’s side headlight, hood and bumper. Bohrn says the vehicle was involved in a minor collision prior to going missing on 16th Street SW and Sixth Avenue.

She is 45 years old, stands approximately 5’6” tall, and weighs approximately 170 lbs. Parnell has brown, curly long hair, and was last seen wearing a black tank top with a green mesh outershirt, black shorts and sandals.

The GMC Yukon has an Alberta licence plate “BJW-6154”

Bohrn says they’re hoping more tips will come in to help them find Parnell.

“Our main concern is to make sure that she is okay,” he said.

“If she contacts her friends or the police, we’d like to touch base with her to make sure everything is okay and she’s safe.”

Anyone with information regarding Parnell’s location is asked to call police at 403-529-8481.
