Local baseball players named to All-Star teams

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A pair of local baseball players have been recognized as all-stars in their conferences.

Jack Suhai of the Medicine Hat Moose Monarchs, along with Reese Whelen of the Medicine Hat Knights, were both named to all-star teams in their respective Alberta/Montana American Legion Baseball conferences.

Suhai was named to the Montana “AA” All-Conference Team as one of four outfielders, and was the only outfielder from Canada named to the team.

Whelen was named to the American Legion North District All-Star Team as a utility player. Whelen is among three players from southeastern Alberta named to the team, joining infielder Dax Wandler and pitcher Carson Troidl, both of the Vauxhall Spurs.
