MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing person.

45-year-old Tammy Parnell was last seen on Friday, August 17th, 2018 around 9:30 AM.  At that time, Parnell was driving west on 16th Street SW in a black 2005 GMC Yukon with Alberta License Plate BJW-6154.

Police are concerned as Parnell appeared to be in a distressed state at the time.

Parnell is Caucasian, approximately 5’6, 170 pounds with brown curly long hair.  She was last seen wearing a black tank top with green mesh outer shirt, black shorts, and sandals.

The vehicle she was driving has damage to the driver side headlight, hood, and bumper.

Staff Sgt. Trevor Humphires with the Medicine Hat Police Service says police are investigating whether the car was involved in a collision.

He adds it’s important for officers to find Parnell, noting friends and family of Parnell  say it’s unusual she would go this long without contacting them.

“It is important, first and foremost, for her family and her friends,” he said. ” Very much secondary is  to the police service, so we can ensure her safety and well-being.”

Anyone with information regarding Tammy Parnell’s location or vehicle is asked to call the Medicine Hat Police Service at 403-529-8481.
