Man arrested by MHPS for warrants in Regina

MEDICINE HAT, AB — On August 18th Medicine Hat Police Service arrested a male on a Saskatchewan warrant for attempted murder.

21 year old, Dillion Blais was originally arrested on August 15th by MHPS after he fled from a traffic stop in a vehicle.

At the time police did not attempt to pursue Blais but with the public’s assistance he was located.

Blais was arrested and charged with; flight from police, dangerous driving, bail violations, possession of stolen property, and theft.

After a bail hearing on August 17th, Blais was released on $2,500 no-cash recognizance.

Yesterday, Medicine Hat Police Service had received notice from Regina Police Service that they had recently issue arrest warrants for Blais.

Those offences included; attempted murder, assault with a weapon, mischief, and breach of probation.

Police located Blais later in the day in the SW area of Medicine Hat and arrested him again.

Blais will remain in police custody until a bail hearing for his warrants in Regina and new breaches. No date has been set for Blais’s court appearance.
