HALO dispatched to motorcycle collision near Elkwater

ELKWATER, AB — A man had to be airlifted to Medicine Hat Regional Hospital following a motorcycle crash just outside of Elkwater on Friday.

According to HALO Air Rescue, who were dispatched to the scene, the collision happened shortly after 11 a.m., just south of Elkwater on Highway 41.

Redcliff RCMP were called to the scene, and according to Staff Sgt. Sean Maxwell, it is believed a gust of wind blew the motorcycle off the road.

The driver, an adult male, needed to be airlifted to Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.

His injuries were described as “serious” by RCMP.
