Fiat issues recall for Ram trucks

MEDICINE HAT, AB — More than 1.4 million Ram pickup trucks have been recalled in North America.
Fiat Chrysler made the announcement on Wednesday, noting tailgates with power locks can open while the trucks are moving. If the tailgates open, unsecured cargo can fall into the road and cause a crash.
The company says there haven’t been any reports of crashes or injuries. They add dealers will fix the locking mechanism on the tailgate for free. The repairs for the recall will likely begin on September 14.
