Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – August 2

Happy Hatter
Even though most of the band members of the Guess Who are not original, I thought they absolutely killed it at Stampede. Their “new” lead singer is so impressive!!!! Wish they could have played even longer!

Mad Hatter
The Kin Coulee off-leash area reduction is unacceptable. The potential damage to historic artifacts and water quality arguments are flimsy to the point of fairy stories. Bear in mind, there are TWO golf courses in the same creek, hardly likely to be innocent, are they? Someone clearly has an agenda… And I don’t even own a dog!

Mad Hatter
At our supposed supercenter grocery chain…… are you having supply problems, or do you not have enough staff? How is it that you have shelves upon shelves that are empty all the time? Like seriously, have 10 items on my list and you have 1 thing…….looks like I’ll be going across the highway to your competitors cause at least they have stock on their shelves all the time.

Happy Hatter
If voters could say what the government should have cutbacks on… This party is smaller than any of the past PC with more representation to this city in the past 40+ years total. Less controversial MLAs. No religious party shoving their beliefs down our throats. Less airplane rides for holidays. Getting pipeline to tidewater which PC couldn’t do under Kenney/PC party in the 40+ years. We had major debt before NDP started thanks to the PC party. Opposition leader spends 1.5 million in 18 months just to get voted into our province. PC spend money like drunken sailors & their spending never ends. They live in the past of 20 years. They cut services that we all need sometime in our life. This province is flourishing with the CT. The proof is in the stats – look at the provinces that have it & are doing very very well. These provinces were not run by a PC party. So, all voters don’t believe everything that the opposition spits out cause good share of it is fear mongering or fake news for the misinformed voters.

Happy Hatter
Was nice to get some rain last week to help my garden thrive. My plants seem extra happy this week.

Happy Hatter
Super happy I will get to see my mom again in a week. Living in different parts of Canada is hard, but it always gives me something to look forward to when I have visitors!

As long as you control weeds in your yard and shovel front sidewalk, you can paint your grass lime green or leave it brown.  Just don’t leave weed out of control so those homes around have to deal with them. The excuses why people don’t water or weed or shovel.  If you bought a home with yard or sidewalks, deal with it.  If you work you still need to deal with it.  If you are complaining of costs if you rented it or bought it, deal with it.  Don’t make excuses of no time, costs too much, live in a desert etc.

Happy Hatter
Glad that the Veiner Centre is open at last. Looking forward to lunch in the new dining room. Remember, you don’t have to be a member to eat there. Members pay $10 and non-members pay $12.50 for a meal that includes coffee, tea, dessert, soup along with the main meal. Come join us for lunch. Where else can you get all that for one low price.

Mad Hatter
I’d like to know why someone thinks that clergy should get free access to the MHES. They do not save lives like the emergency services workers do who go to the stampede (police and emt). Press has to be there to give coverage, so of course they get free access. No coverage=no patrons next year. What benefit would a preacher or pastor or reverend have on the stampede? Give your head a shake.

Mad Hatter
All you dog owners complaining about dog park at kin park…when you people took over down there anyone who didn’t have a dog never went back there. You people wrecked that place. It looks really bad.   It’s about time they put up a fence. Calgary has fenced off places for dogs to run…why not here?

Happy Hatter
PC’s 10-year plan 3 years ago was to cut flat-income tax rate. Raising taxes on $50000 earners. Hike gas taxes. Cut 2000 public jobs. Cutting dozens of agencies of boards/ commissions. Wage freeze on unionized workers. Only proposal she did not do yet was add 2000 good paying jobs to the Alberta unemployment line!!

Mad Hatter
Landlords who don’t return messages or you hear from them days later. Don’t own properties if you can’t be available. Turning your phones off on weekends and holidays isn’t acceptable. Good thing it wasn’t an emergency.

Happy Hatter
That we sold our house and can finally get out of this horrible city! Worst move we ever made, we will never be back. Lived in a few cities and Medicine Hat is the most corrupt, unfriendly, cliquey, poorly managed place we’ve ever seen. No wonder your population never grows, city sucks the life right out of you.

Happy Hatter
I am consistently impressed with the wonderful Life Guards who teach my children swimming lessons; both at the Leisure Centre and The Hill Pool. They have all been kind, encouraging, and extremely patient while trying to coach and corral groups of exuberant children. Brilliant work. You are appreciated.
