SWIFT CURRENT, SASK — Four people from Manitoba are facing multiple charges in connection with an alleged kidnapping which began in Swift Current.

According to a news release from the Swift Current RCMP, officers received a complaint on June 13 that a man had been allegedly kidnapped. Two adult males reportedly forced another adult man from a residence into a vehicle and drove away.

The victim reportedly escaped from a residence in Brandon the next day, and made his way back to Saskatchewan, telling RCMP what had happened.

RCMP says there was no concern for public safety, saying in the release the incident was not random.

On Tuesday, Regina Police and the Brandon Police Service arrested four people in Brandon without incident.
