Road closures in effect for Thursday’s parade

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Road closures will be in effect for the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede Parade on Thursday.

Beginning at 7:30 a.m., on-street parking will not be allowed in the 800A, 800 and 900 blocks of Second Street Southeast, the 800 Block of Third Street Southeast, Allowance Avenue and Woodman Avenue Southeast.

There will also be closures in effect on Finlay Bridge, Maple Avenue Bridge, and Maple Avenue from First Street to Third Street Southeast for the duration of the parade. These closures begin at 8:30 a.m.

Medicine Hat Transit Service will be the only vehicles allowed on the parade route Thursday morning, but only until 8:50 a.m.

The parade officially gets underway at 9 a.m., running down First Street Southeast. A map of the route is posted above.

Drivers are reminded to obey all signs and take extra caution due to the increased pedestrian traffic.
