New Stampede Queen and Princess crowned

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede has crowned its Queen and Princess for the coming year.

Haley Schlenker was named Stampede Queen, while Abby Perrett was named Stampede Princess during a ceremony on Saturday night. The two are replacing Lacey Palichuk and  Ava Padfield, who were Queen and Princess respectively, for the last year.

Schlenker and Perrett were the only two contestants for the Queen Contest this year.

The two will represent the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede for the next year, appearing at rodeos across Alberta and Saskatchewan, as well as other community events, to promote the Stampede and the sport of rodeo.
