Food Truck Frenzy is a chance to draw people into Medicine Hat

MEDICINE HAT, AB — You don’t have to go far for a great meal on Sunday’s here in Medicine Hat.

Food Truck Frenzy takes place every week at the Medicine Hat Visitor Information Centre.

KC’s Burger Kraze, Cheezy Bizness, Twisted Chef Food Truck, Pooty’s Poutine, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, and Kona Ice of SE Alberta gather in the parking lot from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Jace Anderson, executive director with Tourism Medicine Hat, think it’s a great chance for the trucks to draw in a crowd.

“It’s an impromptu opportunity to be visible along the highway and give locals in Medicine Hat an opportunity to know exactly where they’re going to be on a regular basis,” said Anderson.

He says it’s also a chance to draw people in that are driving along the highway and notice what’s going on.

“We get the opportunity to give people a compelling reason to pull in, and see what’s going on,” said Anderson. “Have a fantastic meal and then from here we lend them our free to borrow bikes, they get out on the trail network. We give them directions to the shopping centres, and downtown, and they spend a little more time in Medicine Hat then they might have otherwise.”

Food Truck Frenzy will continue throughout the summer at the visitor centre location.
