Much of Southern Alberta remains under heat warning

MEDICINE HAT, AB —Much of southern Alberta, including Medicine Hat, is currently under a heat warning from Environment Canada.

In Medicine Hat, the temperature is expected to reach a high of 32 degrees on Thursday. Minimum overnight temperatures are also expected to hit 16 degrees Celsius.

A low pressure system is currently in the forecast to move through southern Alberta on Friday, bringing cooler temperatures in time for the weekend, according to the release.

Residents are reminded to take precautions, including drinking lots of water, rescheduling activities to cooler times of the day, taking frequent breaks from the heat, and never leaving pets or children unattended in vehicles.
