MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Travelodge Cubs have made some changes to their executive team.

In a social media post Tuesday evening, the hockey team announced team president Calvin Foster and general manager Bill Berard have both stepped down from their positions.

Both Foster and Berard have been with the team for more than 10 years, according to the release.

“They worked extremely hard and put in tons of long hours working to keep the team going and respectable,” the statement reads. “Your efforts and care for the team have not gone unnoticed.”

The release goes on to add Dave Kowalchuk, currently the director of scouting and player recruitment,  will be the team’s new president going forward. There was no immediate word on the general manager position.
