REGINA, SK – There will be no baseball on Tuesday night for the Medicine Hat Mavericks, as their game against the Regina Red Sox has been postponed.

Thunder and lightning ahead of first pitch for the postponement of the first meeting of the season between the Mavericks and Red Sox, which has been moved ahead one day.

Already scheduled to play on Wednesday in Regina as well, both teams will hit the diamond at Currie Field for a double-header.

Both games will be seven-innings long with the first contest getting underway at 6:00 pm, as the Mavericks look to get back on track after losing two of their last three games.

Tuesday’s game between the Moose Jaw Miller Express and Weyburn Beavers also had to be postponed, while rain delays were also reported in Melville and Edmonton.

Jaymon Cervantes was supposed to have gotten the start on Tuesday for the Mavericks, while there’s no word on who else will be getting the call to start one of Wednesday’s games.

After the short double-header in Regina, the Mavericks return home for a four-game series against the Fort McMurray Giants on Friday.
