Thermal camera shows heatwave in Medicine Hat

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The high temperatures dragged on through southeast Alberta on Friday and the city remains under a heat warning.

Staying out in the sun for long isn’t possible and the high humidity levels means even shaded areas don’t offer much relief.

CHAT News borrowed the thermal imaging camera from the Medicine Hat Public Library to see some of the hot spots around the city.

The device is normally used by home inspectors to look for moisture leaks, hot electrical connections and insulation problems.
