Saamis Tepee site to close Thursday for inspection

MEDICINE HAT, AB — One of the city’s most iconic landmarks will be temporarily closed on Thursday.
The Saamis Tepee site will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. for its annual inspection. City crews will also complete lamp replacement at the site.
The work is expected to be completed by 2 p.m. on Thursday, weather permitting.
The closure includes the area directly under and around the tepee. The trails and the parking lot around the tepee, along with the Visitor Information Centre, will remain open.
