Property taxes due Tuesday

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The deadline is looming for residents to fill our their assessment request for information packages.

The packages, mailed out to property owners of improved non-residential and multi-family properties, need to be completed by July 3. The city says the process of collecting property related data will help them develop the 2019 assessment roll. Property owners who want to be eligible to appeal their 2019 assessment must complete the package by July 3rd.

Residents are also reminded that the deadline to pay their property taxes without penalty is July 3rd. Property taxes are normally due on June 30, but since the date falls on a Saturday, taxes will be considered paid on time if received by 4:30 on Tuesday at City Hall or postmarked by Canada Post on July 3rd.
