Bandits alumnus McKechney invited to Winnipeg Jets development camp

WINNIPEG, MB – Former Brooks Bandit forward Josh McKechney (Calgary, AB) has been invited to the Winnipeg Jets’ development camp, it was announced today.

McKechney, 21, just completed his freshman season at Colgate University, where he scored 17 points (5 goals, 12 assists) in 40 games. Prior to that, he won two Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) championships in two full seasons with the Bandits, registering 116 points (34 goals, 82 assists) in 121 total regular season games.

He was the AJHL’s leading playoff scorer in his final season of Junior A, with 23 points (9 goals, 14 assists) in 13 games, adding 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists) in 5 Western Canada Cup games and 5 assists in 6 RBC Cup games.  

The Jets’  2018 Development Camp runs from Monday, June 25th to Friday, June 29th, 2018 at Bell MTS Iceplex in Winnipeg.
