MEDICINE HAT, AB — Today marks the end of Jazzfest 2018 in Medicine Hat.

The eight day festival wraps up ton at the Medicine Hat Brewing Comapny with a performance from Ann Vriend.

This is the 22nd year Jazzfest has been in the Hat and has expended with performances all over the city.

Performers from Canada, the United States and even the Netherlands visited the city to share their unique take on jazz music.

There were a variety of events including swing dance lessons and Saturday’s parkade show was a hit again.

Today’s performance included a show at the Medicine Hat Public Library from a local group called Tucked In Jazz Collective.

The five member group played a collection of jazz and funk or what they like to call it “junk”.

Mary-Ellen Parker, saxaphone player in Tucked In Jazz Collective, also works at the library and she was ready to perform but surprised at how quick the eight days has gone.

“I can’t believe it’s the last day, it’s gone by really fast and we’re just excited to be able to offer this for free to people at the library and have some fun,” said Parker.

Tickets for tonight’s show can be purchased at the door for $20.
