Cypress County puts fire restrictions in place

DUNMORE, AB – Fire restrictions are now in place in Cypress County due to unpredictable weather and dry conditions.
Fire officials say a lack of moisture and varying conditions throughout the county is causing an increased risk for grass fires.
All existing fire permits have been cancelled. Permits me be reissued once an inspection has taken place.
Campfires are still allowed.
The county says anyone who lights a fire that’s not permitted could be charged.
