Jun 12, 2018 | 4:05 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Colton Wright and David Salgueiro paved the way to the Medicine Hat Mavericks sixth consecutive win Monday night.

Wright clocked a three-run homer through centre field in the sixth inning, stretching his hitting streak to six games, and Salgueiro collected three hits in a 5-2 comeback victory over the Brooks Bombers.

Medicine Hat hasn’t lost a game since dropping it’s first two of the season. Their record of 6-2 is tied with the Okotoks Dawgs for first place in the Western Division.

Mitch Bach of CHAT Sports caught up with the two influencers following the win to learn the details of keeping a lengthy winning streak going, and how their roles on and off the field have changed since making their WMBL debuts last summer.

Plus, Wright reflects on a “harey” situation he found himself in during the seventh inning.

Next up for the Mavericks is a trip to Lethbridge to battle to Bulls Tuesday night (7:05 p.m.). They’ll welcome the Okotoks Dawgs to Athletic Park on Wednesday at Thursday for a pair of 7:05 p.m. start times.
