BRADENTON, Fla. — Substitute Reilyn Turner scored in the 65th minute as the United States beat Canada 1-0 on Friday in the group stage of the CONCACAF women’s under-17 championship.
Turner put away a header on a corner kick for the winner as the U.S. improved to 3-0 atop Group B.
Canada sits second with wins over Bermuda and Costa Rica and, despite the loss to the Americans, will advance to the semifinal.
