Medicine Hat College hosts Spring Convocation

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Graduating students at Medicine Hat College are in a celebratory mood today.

Medicine Hat College is hosting its Spring Convocation today. Ceremonies take place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Medicine Hat College gymnasium.

The morning convocation recognizes graduates from the Division of Arts, Education and Business programs, along with the Division of Trades and Technology. The afternoon convocation will celebrate students from the Division of Science and Health.

This year, 545 students will graduate from certificate, diploma and applied degree programs. A total of 176 apprentice students completed studies at the college this spring.

During the convocation, Dr. Lorne Taylor, a longtime educator and former MLA for Cypress-Medicine Hat, will receive an Honorary Applied Degree from the college.
