Recycling cart delivery complete

MEDICINE HAT, AB — All homeowners in Medicine Hat can now take part in the city’s residential recycling program.

The city announced on Wednesday that they have completed delivery of more than 23,000 blue recycling carts to homes across Medicine Hat.

Residents have been reminded that once they have the cart, they can begin using them. Recycling is collected on the same day as home and yard waste in your zone.

Residents will see an average net cost of $2.89 per month. The cost will begin showing up on utility bills in July.

The city reminds residents to read through the collection guide booklet which came with the bin, as it provides information about what can and cannot be recycled.
