Sun Devils top undefeated Renegades

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Sun Devils handed the Red Deer Renegades their first loss of the lacrosse season over the weekend

The Sun Devils came away with a hard fought 15-13 win over the league-leading team at the Kinplex on Saturday.

Heading into the third period down 10-8, the Sun Devils rallied, scoring seven goals in the frame to earn the win.

Daniel Drefs, Zach Wilson, Aidan McLean and Damon Phillips each scored three goals for the Sun Devils during the game. Izaak Loran scored twice, while Tegan Rogal added one goal during the game.

Nicholas Scott led the Renegades in scoring with four goals during the game.

The Sun Devils return to action this weekend with a pair of games at the Kinplex. The team hosts the Calgary Sabrecats on Saturday at 6:30 p.m., and battle the Strathmore Venom at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
