VIDEO: Broadhead excited for next chapter after Training Ground win

MEDICINE HAT, AB – In his days as a grinder with the Medicine Hat Tigers, Gavin Broadhead never dreamed of being named one of Alberta’s most promising young athletes.

But after the recent RBC Training Ground competition, Broadhead is looking to the future for a shot at representing his country at the highest level.

Broadhead took home first place at the Alberta Training Ground fitness testing event in Calgary in April, putting himself on the radar of national sports organizations across Canada.

Pursuing Crossfit and track and field following his WHL career, Broadhead is now looking at training for Canada’s national speed skating program.
