SUFFIELD, AB — A boil water advisory is in effect for residents of Suffield.

The advisory and water restriction was put in place on Tuesday, and will be in effect until June 8 to accommodate a scheduled cleaning of the reservoirs at the CFB Suffield Water Plant.

The county will lift the advisory and restriction once water quality in the area is returned to potable water standards.

While the water restriction is in place, residents cannot water their lawns or gardens, wash their vehicles or fill water trucks or swimming pools until the restriction is lifted.

The county will provide updates to the boil water advisory on their web page.
