Sun Devils in Olds Saturday, hope to stretch win streak against Stingers

OLDS, AB – The Medicine Hat Sun Devils will try to replicate one of their most successful weekends of the season on the road Saturday, meeting up with the Olds Stingers.

Medicine Hat will battle Olds for the second time this season, after rolling to a 16-5 win against the Stingers on April 21.

The Sun Devils lost three straight games after that match, but seem to have gotten things back on track with a pair of wins last weekend over the Rockyview Rage and Calgary Axemen.

Since rejoining the team just a few weeks ago, veteran Zack Wilson has been on fire for the Sun Devils with 18 goals and 28 points in only four games.

The team’s scoring lead still belongs to sniper Aidan McLean however, who sits in first on the team in both goals (19) and points (37).

Locking down second place in their division with a 4-4 record, the Sun Devils sit two points up on the 3-4 Axemen.

Olds will be looking to regain their form on Saturday, after dropping a 12-2 decision to the division-leading High River Heat last Saturday.

Medicine Hat takes to the floor in Olds against the Stingers at 4:30 pm, before heading to High River on Sunday to finish up their weekend road trip.
